General Guidance, Not Advice

Everything published on this site is general information about the tax position of roofers and roofing businesses. It is not advice on your own affairs and it does not create a client relationship. Two roofers with the same turnover can be taxed very differently depending on their expenses and how they are set up. Do not act on a page here without having your own position looked at.

We do not sell tax-avoidance schemes, and nothing on this site is advice on investments or pensions. Tidy Money Ltd is regulated by the ACCA and holds no Financial Conduct Authority permission. We do the tax, the CIS and the accounts; regulated financial advice is a question for a different adviser.

Figures and Dates

Rates, thresholds and dates are taken from GOV.UK and HMRC manuals, and carry the date they were last checked, shown in the footer and at the top of each guide. CIS and construction VAT rules change, so check the current position before relying on a figure, and note that your own CIS refund depends on your income and expenses, not on any average.

Accountancy services described on this site are provided by Tidy Money Ltd. Any engagement is subject to a separate written engagement letter and to anti-money-laundering identity checks. Nothing on this website forms an engagement on its own.
